Dog Obedience Training

Dog Obedience Training

One of my best friends could be a wonderful woman that's trying to parent her two children on her own. Her husband died when she was 8 months pregnant with their 2nd child. She works full time and still manages to try and do a good job in parenting the kids.

Her husband has been dead for eight years. During that point both of her parents also died together with the dog that she had for twelve years. Two years ago she decided to induce another dog. She bought a terrier that's very head strong. When it absolutely was a puppy she talked about enrolling him in dog obedience training, but the breeder told her to attend until the dog was a year old.

My husband and that i raise and train hunting dogs. we start dog obedience training as soon as they're weaned from the litter. I explained this to my friend, but she thought she should hear the breeder. She thought her dog was a terrier and ours are Labrador Retrievers. Her dog always been quite difficult to be around. He barks and jumps au fait people after they come to the door. She does tell him no and removes him from things, but he was given no other training. When she takes him on a walk she uses and extension leash, that the dog has full control over true. Now that the dog is 2 years old and weights fifty pounds she is trying to discipline him, and he or she is running into resistance.

He still barks and jumps on people. Over the summer he bit a toddler within the hand. Her son told her that this child has been mean to the dog within the past. The bite didn't require medical attention and also the parents of the kid failed to pursue any action. My friend thought this was an isolated incident which it had occurred because of this child being mean to the dog. 2 months ago the dog jumped on a child and scratched his face.

The scratches were so deep that the kid required stitches. My friend decided that she needed to induce the dog obedience training immediately or she is also facing a law suit. The humane society suggested that she hire a trainer that comes into the house and works with the family and also the animal to correct behavior problems. this case gave the impression to transcend the realm of basic dog obedience training.

The trainer came to the house met the dog and my friend dogs and the children. The trainer listened to the concerns and so developed the dog obedience training specifically for his or her dog. the method is meant to require about six weeks to correct the dog’s behaviors. My friend agrees that she should have listened to me and began the dog obedience training when her dog was a puppy.
